They
met playing bluegrass in college and decided to form a different acoustic
band, one respecting tradition, but not confined by it. Six months before
accepting public gigs, they woodsheded, honing an exciting sound displaying
their virtuosity on original material influenced by traditional bluegrass,
Dawg, and Latin styles. June 2001, their dedication paid off. OSFT
took second in band competition at the Telluride, CO bluegrass festival.
Recorded and mixed at Doobie Shea studios and mastered by Bill Wolf,
OSFT's CD is not your Daddy's bluegrass. Its rule bending is destined
to open some eyes and create new OSFT and acoustic music fans.
